Ellen Page 'post-apocalittica' in 'Into the Forest'

L'attrice canadese lotterà per sopravvivere nelle foreste californiane mentre la società precipita nel baratro.

L'attrice Ellen Page si prepara a raggiungere il Sundance Film festival dove presenterà in anteprima ben due pellicole che la vedono nel cast, Touchy Feely e il politico The East. Nel frattempo spunta all'orizzonte un altro interessante progetto che la vedrebbe coinvolta nel cast. Si tratta di Into the Forest, adattamento del romanzo di Jean Hegland.Qui sotto di seguito troverete la trama del romanzo.

La storia è ambientata nella California del nord, dove Nell e Eva, due sorelle senza più genitori, lottano per la loro sopravvivenza in un mondo che sta morendo. La società si sta sfaldando, guerre civili sconvolgono tutta la Terra e l'energia elettrica come quella fossile viene ben presto meno. Il mondo che conoscevamo non esiste più, le due sorelle dovranno cominciare una nuova vita nel nuovo mondo.

Tra i progetti futuri di Ellen Page c'è il drammatico Freeheld di Peter Sollett, storia di un meccanico e di un'agente di polizia che lottano per ottenere una pensione per la donna dopo che le è stato diagnosticato un male incurabile.

Ellen Page ed Evan Rachel Wood protagoniste di Into the Forest

Ellen Page (The East, Juno, X-Men) sarà la protagonista, insieme a Evan Rachel Wood (Mildred Pierce, Thirteen), di Into the Forest, adattamento cinematografico dell’omonimo romanzo di Jean Hegland. La pellicola sarà diretta e sceneggiata da Patricia Rozema (Grey Gardens, Mansfield Park).
Into the Forest racconta della battaglia per la sopravvivenza di due sorelle (che nel film saranno interpretate, appunto, da Ellen Page ed Evan Rachel Wood), durante il collasso della società in un futuro non troppo lontano. Il film sarà prodotto dalla stessa Ellen Page in collaborazione con Kelly Bush Novak e Sriram Das.
Prossimamente vedremo Ellen Page in X-Men: Days of Future Past, settimo capitolo della saga dedicata agli X-Men e sequel della pellicola X-Men – L’inizio del 2011. Gli ultimi film che hanno visto coinvolta Evan Rachel Wood, invece, sono stati Charlie Countryman e A Case of You, entrambi del 2013.

‘INTO THE FOREST’ SCHEDULED TO SHOOT FROM JULY 28

TORONTO — Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood are set to begin work in B.C. on the feature adaptation of Jean Hegland’s acclaimed novel Into The Forest.

The movie, written and directed by Ontario’s Patricia Rozema (When Night is Falling), is scheduled to shoot from July 28 to Aug. 23 on Vancouver Island.

Into The Forest follows teen sisters Eva (Wood) and Nell (Page) in the not-so-distant future as they forage through the forest that surrounds their rural home following the collapse of society.

Page, a native of Nova Scotia, is one of the producers of the Canadian film.
